About Rwenzori Mountains Runners Club
Our Mission
Rwenzori Mountains Runners Club is dedicated to promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among young and disabled in the mountain community of Western Uganda.
The club was started when 7 locals challenged themselves to run up to 4 summits, including Margherita Peak at 5109m, in one go. The run was completed despite bad weather, mud, cold, and poor gear, and proved as an inspiration to other locals that great things can be achieved.
